Can’t translate one page

    Hello,

    I managed to translate the whole website from English to French, but there’s this one and only page that I cannot translate for some reason. The edit button does appear but in blue, and whenever I click on it, I get this “This string is not ready for translation yet.”. I don’t have any other translation plugin that could interfere with this, and as I said, it’s the only page I couldn’t translate.

    The only thing that could be a problem with it is the Redirection Plugin. Originally, this page had “faq” for the slug, but it got changed to “qna” and we had to use the redirection plugin to redirect people from faq to qna as the faq page was the one listed on google.

    When deactivating the Redirection plugin, it doesn’t change a thing and we still can’t translate our qna page.

    If you have a solution for this, I’ll take it.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Here are some steps to debug this:

    • see if you have any javascript errors in the browser console https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors. A print screen could help.
    • if you have any security or minification plugins please deactivate them and try again. Some caching plugins also have minification settings that can break javascript code, so for testing purposes please disable any caching as well.
    • try and open the website in a different browser just to exclude a browser add-on that might interfere with javascript.
