Sorry for not being able to provide a link, I’m using the plugin on a private test site.

I can’t seem to be able to translate to Spanish the following strings that appear below the password field in the register and edit profile forms:

    Minimum length of X characters.
The password must have a minimum strength of Y.

Using poedit, I opened the .po translation file, re-extracted all the strings from the plugin and verified that those strings were in the translation file. Compiled it to a .mo file and uploaded both to the /languages/plugins folder and the /plugins/profile-builder/languages. I know the translation is working because most strings in the backend are translated.

    Hi Sandra,

So if you remove the translation files completely, then some of translations are gone? Can you please check that to make sure?

If this is the case, then let’s start over.

Open your .po file with Poedit and select Catalog -> Update from POT file

Select the latest .pot file from our plugin.

Then find the strings. The strings are there, right?

And translate it making sure to use %s also in the translation where you find %s in the original file.

Pay attention, for “The password must have a minimum strength of %s” there appears to be a translation string with a full stop at the end (.) and one without. Please make sure to translate both.

Save, compile to .mo (if that doesn’t happen automatically), and upload the files to both locations (the /languages/plugins folder and the /plugins/profile-builder/languages) just to make sure.

    Working now?

    Best regards,
    Gabriel
