Can’t translate strings

I’m going through the issue previously decribed here:

Loco translation won’t work. Direct translation won’t work either, in whatever language. Donation Platform doesn’t seem to be using any language files at all to render its strings. It won’t ever access the languages folder. Is Donation Platform really translatable?

yes, it is translatable and I know for a fact that multiple websites successfully use Loco Translate.

Please remember that some strings can be edited in the plugin’s settings.
