For some reason I can’t seem to stop getting notifications for “User locked out from signing in”

    I have these unchecked:
Alert when an IP address is blocked
Alert when someone is locked out from login

    I still get them. Thanks!

    Hi @fastasleep

Are the emails coming from the correct website?

WordPress sends the Wordfence alerts from this email address using the domain name example.com:

    [email protected]

Do you have a staging or development website where you have those options still enabled?

Have you added the site to the Wordfence Central tool if you have a wordfence.com account and you have login lock out alerts set up there?

    Hi, @wfphil

That’s an interesting aspect I hadn’t considered. We moved the site to a new host recently, and DNS points to that. I guess I’m not sure how there might still be people connecting to the old site/host but is that possible? Perhaps I need to go wipe that account as we’re currently just waiting for the hosting to expire.

    thanks!

    Hi @fastasleep

    Thank you for the update.

We have seen before that when a site owner migrates their site to a new host then the WordPress installation at the old host is still fully functional and able to send emails if the WordPress installation has not been removed. Please check with the old host that your WordPress installation has been fully removed from their server.
