I’ve run into the same problem that @a2zsc mentioned in an earlier support request.

We’ve had problems with Asset CleanUp. Quite often, page updates (made with Elementor) result in broken CSS and pages covered with CSS text, page titles etc…

When we clear all caches it usually goes back to normal. But now when I try to uninstall Asset CleanUp my entire site is a mess.

Is there no way to uninstall this plugin? I’m tired of dealing with css and formatting problems that happen almost daily.

  • same here. when I make changes to my elementor template, those changes do not appear even if i clear the cache and reset the plugin

@alygraphy @dmverton there’s a chance that there are over 1000 fields on the edit post/page and that could prevent the main form within that page to submit everything. Here’s an article about it from WooCommerce (the principle applies to any other plugin): https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/problems-with-large-amounts-of-data-not-saving-variations-rates-etc/

Can you make some print screens and share them via https://imgbb.com/? Perhaps it’s the caching from the hosting company or you have to clear other plugin’s caching (e.g. WP Rocket).

Asset CleanUp can be uninstalled completely by going to “Tools” -> “Reset” and use the reset everything option. Then, just deactivate and delete it.

Now, I don’t know how many form fields (including hidden ones) you have in the edit post/page, but until this gets debugged (e.g. check the max_input_vars value), you can use “Manage in the front-end” for dealing with the CSS & JS list when you visit the pages while you’re logged-in (the list is at the bottom of each page). That form has fewer fields than the one within the edit post/page area within the Dashboard.
