Hi @nirav257 – that definitely sounds frustrating. It would be great to have some further details of when this happens. Is it when editing any page at all?

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.

There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

Thanks for the extra information @nirav257. A 500 Error could be caused by any number of things – were you able to test things out with all other plugins disabled and a default theme (like I mentioned in the previous comment)?

Hi @nirav257,

I’m not sure if I fully understood. Do you mean that you tried to the conflict test (plugin deactivations), or are you still going to try that?

I’m having the same issue. When using Classic Editor, the updates don’t take. Nothing is indicated in the Site Health regarding the plugin. I will try deactivating it and report back.

Hi @lesliekirk,

Thank you for trying that. If this doesn’t help, can you create a new topic for us to check this further?

We have the same problem. When we Add New or Edit a Page, it returns a 500 internal server error. We have tried disabling/enabling other plugins and found out that the Classic Editor is the culprit. We had to disable it temporarily and use the default Gutenberg editor just so we can create new pages.

Hey @athina09 – similar to the post above – can you?create a new topic?for us to check this further?

It makes life a lot easier for volunteers to keep track of what has been solved and it also makes it easier for users looking for answers to have individual threads for each question.
