Hi there, after the last update, I can’t update or create new posts. Also, the WP admin bar has disappeared, I checked my profile and it’s checked to display the admin toolbar.

I am on Siteground and I use their Ultra-Fast PHP version.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @shss,

Sorry to hear you’re having a problem after the update. We’re not sure if there was a problem during the update or if there are missing files, so we’d like you to remove and reinstall the plugin. Doing so doesn’t remove your SEO settings or data.

You can find the steps here: https://yoast.com/help/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#remove.

    Does this problem still appear?

    Hi,

If you were to temporarily deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin, does the issue in your WordPress admin dashboard automatically resolve itself?

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.`

Hi there, I deactivated all the plugins and noticed it is the Wordfence that has started this complication since yesterday so I deactivated the Wordfence and currently there is no issue.

I hope one of the parties figure out the incompatibilities and resolve it so I can activate the Worfence again

    Thanks

@shss Thanks for your reply and for confirming that the Wordfence plugin was causing the complication.

Does the issue occur when only a default theme (such as TwentyTwentyOne), Yoast SEO, and Wordfence are active? Also, when the issue occurs do you see any Javascript errors in your browser console? We have a guide on how to check this here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

    Hello Devnihil

I changed to TTO theme and the problem was still there. It was only resolved after deactivating the Wordfence

I believe there was an issue between Wordfence, SiteGround’s “Ultra Fast” PHP and Yoast

    Hi @shss

We understand that when you activate WordFence the issue begins to manifest. We recommend contacting WordFence for more information. There may be a setting or configuration in that plugin which needs to be adjusted. You may contact them here https://www.wordfence.com/contact/.
