can’t update pages after 5.4 installed

  • April 1 issue of Monthly Planet uploaded to site. Used editor to insert it where March issue now appears. Used preview and saw the April issue. Pressed “update”. Got “update successful” message. But the website has not updated.
    5.4 also changed the look and feel of the editor in a way that I don’t want to deal with.
    Is there any way I can go back to prior WP version? I don’t want much but a site that works . . .
    And while I’m ranting I only upgraded because I hoped that would help me update refresh rate of simple calendar that just generates a bunch of errors that are greek to me when I try.
    Sorry, I struggle with this, but I’m not a programmer.

  • If you are sure you want to go back to a previous version, you can have a look at this:

    WordPress is moving towards Full Site Editing by the end of the year though, so it may be a good idea to tough it out and get used to the new look / changes, even though I realize this can be a significant / difficult adjustment to make.
