Can’t update past v.5.2.5

  • There is an Error thrown which breaks the front page of my website. Basically it adds a long empty section (white space) in the partner logos. I have to keep an older version of MEC (5.2.5) instead to keep it working.

    Currently using:
    WordPress version 5.8.1
    Current theme: One Page Express Child Theme (version 1.1.0).

    I have been waiting for the updates to fix this issue for several months but still nothing.

    Hello @artgali,

    We have not received any similar reports so far. We need to know the steps to replicate.

    I would then forward it to the developer team to fix the issues in the upcoming updates. There is nothing to be worried about. We will fix the issues. I also appreciate you for reporting the issues.

    Please send details as steps to reproduce in a fresh WordPress.

    Also, can you please provide some info on the plugins and the theme you have too?

    Hi Sorry for the late response.
    So basically I have created the front page (partially with page builder partially custom html) I used shortcode to display the partners in the front page. To show the partner logos I am using latest version of ‘Smart Logo Showcase Lite’ plugin.
    The issue is that when I update past 5.2.5 the plugin conflicts with the Smart Logo Showcase and adds a very long blank space and the logos disappear completely. I have tried to remove this space with css but then it affects the whole content.

    I would be glad to offer more info if needed.

    The plugin was updated to the latest and it broke once more. I have left it broken for you to see, maybe you can find out what element is conflicting with it.

    If you scroll down you will see a huge space added to the front page fro no reason. And it has made the partner logos disappear. (smart logo showcase).
