Can’t update plugins, -1 error

    I have a number of plugins that say they need updating and have been trying to install Elementor pro. Every time I try, I just get errors that say “-1” and I have no idea what that means, no idea how to get around it. Help?

    Truthfully, I don’t know. I’m in way over my head.

    All I know is that I’m on the dashboard, I’m on the plugins page, and trying to update plugins gives me a -1 error and trying to upload and install a zip file for a new plugin is giving me a similar error but on an otherwise blank page.
