Cant update/publish posts after upgrade to wp – Version 4.9.8

  • Hello there,

    After upgrading to wp Version 4.9.8 (today), we can no longer update/publish posts used for location.

    We use a custom post type and custom fields for longitude and latitude of location.

    I’ve noticed this plugin hasn’t been updated for sometime, but have found it to be the best plugin available for our needs so are reluctant to move to a new solution.

    Any help much appreciated.

    As of today I am also having issues. However, I updated to WP 4.9.8 on 3/8/18 and everything has been working fine until today.

    I am also using custom post type and lat/long fields. I am able to update / publish location posts. My issue is I now don’t get any results on my searches (“No results found”).

    Please post back if you come up with anything.

    Further update, my shortcodes have also stopped working. For example:

    [wp_simple_locator_map post='.$postID.'additionalfields="hide"]

    No longer shows my map ?? and

    [wp_simple_locator]

    No longer displays the search form.

    Out of interest Tom, did you do any other updates today?

    I am having a similar issue – I cannot update posts – the only work around I have is DEACTIVATING the plugin, editing the post, then REACTIVATING it.

    Pretty poor!
