Can’t update the plugin in wp 6.1.1

  • I have few website using the latest version WP 6.1.1. but all of them can’t update the plugin. The situation is , when I update the plugin, it seem process, but a moment later, it displayed the update result as -1 and stop. then the site will go to maintenance mode.

    any advise to solve it?

    Additionally, I can search new plugin but can’t install it. Once I try to install it, it also told me “update failed”. But another strange things is, if the site is hosted by MainWP, the child site is able to update.

    Disable and delete the “Starter Templates” plugin (aka Astra Starter Sites), if you have it installed.

    After this, your updates should succeed.
