According to my dashboard, I have v5.5.1 and there is an update to 5.5.3 (or 5.5.2 rather, since I understood there is no difference between these 2).

Automatic update: Problem is that the update button (which, on click, lasts forever) loads the same (wp-admin/about.php) 5.5.1 version. So, although it looks like eventually the update finished, I’m stuck with the same old version.

Manual update: So I’ve got the latest version (), uploaded it and replaced all the other files on my web site, disabled the plugin and even changed the theme to the twenty-twenty WP’s theme previously to that. Changed the file/folder’s owner back to www-data (I’m on Raspberry PI 4, if it matters), re-enabled the plugins/theme etc. And I’m still on v5.5.1, with the same message on my dashboard that there is a new (5.5.3) version.

The page /wp-admin/upgrade.php tells me that I’m on the latest version though (No Update Required/Your WordPress database is already up to date!).

    How can I fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Howdy!

The one thing that comes to mind would be possible object caching or transient that may still remain. I’ve encountered that before.

There are times it will just clear up in time by itself but I would check to see if the site is possibly running any caching plugins and clearing all caches.
