Can’t update to version 3.0

I have the same issue. I’m sure the developer will provide an upgrade path to the free version of 3.0; otherwise, why offer the free version?

Same issue here. Seems like this error happened about a year or so ago and was fixed once before.

Same here. From their website it looks like maybe there isn’t a free version anymore, but I’m not sure. Would be nice to get a definitive answer!

Even with ‘Toolset is registered on this site. Your Lifetime account gives you updates for life’ I’m also getting Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

The update to 3.0 is a mistake. Very soon, instead, the Toolset Types version as it is available here on WordPress will receive its own update, which will as well resolve this unfortunate glitch in the installer.

Please stand by for the update.

The update sill shows up and this is not right!!

From 2.3 to 3.0 is NOT an update, but an UPGRADE (from a free version to a paid version). This should be optional and not be shown in the update page as a regular update, since it isn’t…

Is also shows up in tools like Manage WP as a regular update, but every time it throws an error because it can’t update it.

The point is: if you can’t UPDATE a FREE plugin for FREE , it should NOT appear as an update in WordPress!

I can still not update to version 3.0.6 – I keep getting the error, and I have double checked the key. When will this be fixed?

@visualresolve, if you “have double checked the key”, the only key I can think of is the Toolset Registration code that you get only when you purchase Toolset.

For the Free Types plugin as available on WordPress you do not require such a code.
