Hi dailyvideo, I think you have other issues. I have updated my testing sites with the latest WordPress and this plugin without any issues. I am even running this plugin with WordPress 4.3-alpha-32294.

    Regards

I am trying to update a clients site and can’t update the WordPress 4.2.1 nor the JetPack. And I have kept up with these sites. My other sites all had not issue.

Going to test now by trying the install of 4.2.1 with AIOWPS on (currently hanging for several minutes) and then with it off if it doesn’t succeed.

I still suspect a conflict with AIOWPS because

    1. I could not install the COntact FOrm 7 plugin update until I turned off AIOWPS
    2. I’m having funky issues with the custom login page
    3. Issues with some admin pages going to a “page not found” which I’ve never had before.

I haven’t changed a thing, although Bluehost did recently force an update to WP 4.1.4 because of the XSS concerns.

    Will report back…

OK, I have no idea what was the cause. Disabled AIOWPS and it still wouldn’t update. Perhaps it was a server issue at bluehost timing out when trying to update.

Running the manual WP update was painful but thanking God (literally) we seem to be back up and running. Be sure if you do the manual update that you copy the index.php to the root directory and change the path of your installation.

I do see there are other posts online about not being able to do the one click update to 4.2 so whatever it is, I wasn’t alone.

@dailyvideo great to hear you were able to update to the latest WordPress version. I am sure WordPress is aware of this issue and possibly looking into it. However it could also be as you mentioned above that Bluehost had a timing issue between servers.

Can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you
