Can’t update twenty eleven

    Hi there

    I use a child theme based on twenty eleven (been live and problem-free for several years but I now can’t update twenty eleven Current version is 2.3 – I’m trying to upgrade to 2.5.

    I’ve tried via CPanel and via WordPress themes. In the latter I get an error:

    Update Failed: Download failed. Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.

    I’ve check permissions within the site (particularly /public_html/wp-content/themes and the twentyeleven theme within) but they all look fine with 0755 for directories and 0644 for files.

    I’m not sure where else to check.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
