    I tried to automatically install 3.0 & got the following error message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_multisite() in /home/********/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 505

    (Omitted personal site info with *)

    I can’t access my website or my admin (just blank page & that error on both urls). I tried renaming my plugins folders like others suggested but that didn’t work. Anybody know a solution? Can’t figure out how to manually install 3.0 (with www.ads-software.com directions) or how to go back to 2.92.

    Im new to this…need help in lamens terms asap. Thanks.

  • Please try a manual upgrade (see Upgrading WordPress. Specifically, it looks like the wp-includes/functions.php file was not copied over, and that you’re still running the 2.9.2 version of that file.

    Ill try to do this again. Thanks.

    I also tried the automatic install from the admin portal and my site seemed to go flawlessly… then all I get (no matter whether I try to go to my base page or admin page):

    Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object in /home/content/... .../html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 289

    bigRoN, reset your plugins then upgrade the Podcasting Plugin by TSG to 2.3.10 before reactivating it.

    I finally restored my site by manually upgrading. Thank you so much!
