• I am having the exact same issue as anniewp who posted yesterday. Users can select an image, they click upload and when the page refreshes it says “profile updated” but the image has not uploaded. I have checked Allow Contributors & Subscribers to upload avatars and use the browser file uploader method.

The page for updating profile image requires a login, so I’ve recorded a screencast of what happens here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k7aqjzw5hp0gg6f/avatar.mov?dl=0

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This plugin is not supported? Thread is over a week old…

I am researching this. It is a known complex issue that is only affecting a few third-party plugins. It likely has to do with a security patch that was applied recently. You will likely see an update that fixes the issue within the next few days.

Thanks for the reply…good to know you’re aware of it (and that it’ll be fixed in a few days!)

Any update on a fix for this bug?

Soon. I’m working on a general fix that should solve compatibility issues with various plugins while not breaking plugin security. It requires a little bit of testing, otherwise we’re back in the situation where a lot of setups break bacause of changes.

I’m happy to test if that would help.

Strangely enough it worked fine this time. I wonder if it has something to do with caching plugins, and cache lifetime?

As I said in the other thread, start re-enabling plugins one-by-one until you find the one causing the issue.

But I can’t really do that now since it’s currently working with ALL plugins enabled, hence my question asking for further insight into possible causes.

All I know is this issue wasn’t reported before I applied a security patch a few weeks ago. You can roll back to version 2.3.6 and see if the issue still occurs. If it does, it could be as I said in the other thread another plugin that is adding a nonce field that conflicts with the plugin’s one. A caching plugin is also possible. Try excluding that page from the cache and see if it helps. As a last resort, try setting up a staging site and disable your plugin there.

Hi @danieltara, I faced the same issue and tried deactivating all plugins and re-enabling them one by one as you suggested. For me it seems the conflict is with the Yoast SEO plugin. Could you please fix the conflict issue with Yoast SEO?

    Hi
Is there any solutions? If this bug can’t be solve so we should remove this plugin.
    Thanks
