can't upload files

    Trying to upload pics, I get this message:
    “Ha habido un error al subir “FOTOS VIETNAM-1.jpg”
    No se pudo crear el directorio D:\Inetpub\webs\mydomaincom/wp-content/uploads/2012/01. Asegúrate de que el servidor tiene permisos de escritura para el directorio superior”

    Translation: “Error uploading “FOTOS VIETNAM-1.jpg”
    Unable to create D:\Inetpub\webs\mydomaincom/wp-content/uploads/2012/01. Make sure server has wiriting permissions on this directory”

    Please help!

  • Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    Thanks, esmi, but it’s still not working… keeps on showing same message even on 777

    Try contacting your hosts for assistance. You may have a folder ownership issue.

    When everything seemed to be going fine… I got this message (pls help me as my hosts are too slow replying…):
    “Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file D:____________/wp-content/FOTOS-VIETNAM-1.tmp because Permission denied in D:___________\wp-admin\includes\file.php on line 177”

    This is how line 177 looks like:
    touch($filename);

    How should it be???
