Can’t Upload Files and Unusual Error

  • When in the write post section I get this error where the upload file form should be ‘An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-admin/upload.php could not be found on this server’

    I also got this error ‘An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-admin/post.php could not be found on this server’ when publishing a post and I narrowed it down to having .htaccess in my post. A soon as I removed that it worked fine.

    Before anyone tells me it is a mod security issue my host has already sorted that out for me. I also have two blogs, one running 2.1.2(which is running fine) and the other running 2.1.3(which is giving me the errors).

  • I narrowed it down to having .htaccess in my post

    I hope that was a typo. It should be in the blog root.

    No I actually typed .htaccess into my post as I was writing a post about permalinks.

    I have sorted it though, it turns out that my host hadn’t turned off mod security on the correct folder. Weird about the .htaccess thing though.
