Cant upload files, cant save new posts

  • Hello, my client site is having some challenging issues.

    When I try to create a new post and save it, the button says “Submit for Review” altho this is the admin account.

    When I try to edit and save an existing post I cannot, I get a message saying “Sorry you are not allowed to edit this post.”

    When I try to upload any file small or otherwise to the media library, it says “An error has occurred.”

    Does anyone please have any advice for me? How can I find the issue that seems deep in my wordpress install? I dont think it’s a problem with my theme CSS or HTML.

    I got emailed by wordpress system saying “First, visit your website (https://localhost/live-sleepworks/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://localhost/live-sleepworks/live-sleepworks/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?_fs_blog_admin=true) and check for any visible issues.”

  • Hi Jackson,
    It may because of certain plugins that limit the capability of wordpress roles. Do check if there are any plugins activated that controls the role. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for your response @websprout, we discovered the database is corrupted but we can’t repair. Do you have any ideas for how we can proceed?

    Sorry, Jackson. I’m not so familiar with database corruption. Hopefully someone with more experience can assist you here.
