Can't Upload Images

    I have been trying to upload images for a couple days with no luck.
    Error: The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/12

    I logged into GoDaddy and I see the folders are all there.

    In searching support forums, I tried changing the folder permissions to “777” using FIlezilla, but I get this error: 500 ‘SITE CHMOD 777 uploads’: command not understood.

    I called GoDaddy and they said that the permissions are all fine.

    Nothing was changed (WP or plugins) since the last time I successfully uploaded images. The only strange thing I have noticed is that suddenly I am being asked for my FTP credentials when trying to update plugins.

    Anyone have any ideas for me?
