Can't upload images after changing domain name

I have changed the domain name of my website by following directions from https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Moving_WordPress#Moving_Directories_On_Your_Existing_Server.
I also did turn permanent 301 redirect on godaddy where both domains are hosted. Everything seems to work ok however I can’t upload new images on the new domain either via Media upload or FTP.
When I upload via FTP it shows the image file in the upload folder but when I do “add from server” it doesn’t work. I checked the old websites upload folder however and see that images I’m trying to upload are present there. Not sure why this is happening. Please let me know what needs to be done. Thank you!
