Can't upload images or apply updates

  • Dear Volunteers,

    I just installed a new forum and everything seems to work properly except I can’t upload images, nor can I apply the automatic update from within the application. I keep getting errors like not being able to access the folders.

    I have read other help files here and tried to change some of my settings but nothing works. I manually reset permissions to 777 on some of my folders, but it only works for one folder at a time, and I don’t want to do that for every upload.

    Also tried changing the local path as someone else suggested. No luck with anything.

    Installation Failed

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Oops! Wrong word. I run so many forums, I just posted that automatically.

    Sorry, no forums in this question. I simply meant, “I installed a new WordPress application for a yacht club website.”
