Just completed a totally clean install of 2.1.2. Everything seems to be working fine, except when I try to upload a JPG image, I get the following error in the upload window:

Unable to create directory /home/micrla0/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2007/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    Any ideas? Tks. JL

Set the permissions for the /wp-content/uploads directory to 755, 775, or 777 (whatever is lowest and still works).

Thanks Otto. Where do I set these permissions?

I’m not certain what you mean by “where” in your question. ??

You change the permissions on the /wp-content/uploads folder, like I said. You can use an ftp client to do it, most of the time. The folder is on your hosting service… err.. Did that answer the question? If not, look here:

Got it – changed permissions on the server. All is well! Thanks a lot. JL
