• For a few weeks I was uploading a weekly mp3/podcast with no troubles. Would go to the upload/audio/select files/insert into post.

Then a couple of weeks ago I began having trouble with my uploads. I would go to upload/audio/select files, choose the file, and it would spend a LONG time uploading (20 min or more) when I would get impatient. I close the upload window, and try uploading again- going to upload/audio, with the same results. After doing this a few times (anywhere from three to a dozen times), when I go to upload/audio, I will see the “gallery” option and I will find that the file has been uploaded (sometimes two or three times or more). At this point I can choose the file and insert into post with no troubles.

Obviously this is an annoying problem and a nuisance at best. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Help please!

    mmusil,

Keep in mind WordPress has an upload file size limit in place and this new mp3 may be more than it can handle. You would have an easier time using FTP for this.

Hm- that makes sense but still I wonder why it is able to upload it eventually if that is the case?

Oh well, I will definitely be FTP’ing until future notice…

I usually use ftp to put all my podcast episodes into a folder, then use the powerpress plugin to to manage it, so it can be played on my site, or downloaded. There are also other podcasting plugins I’m sure, thats just my fave.

I am trying to put two custom fields for uploading audio as well as thumbnail but the files are not getting upload on the specified location.
And I don’t want to use any plug-in. This is a type of custom coding.

    Thanks In Advance
