I have tried with multiple different themes and on several occasions and the theme uploader has never worked. It just goes to a page saying ” Are you sure you want to do this” with a try again button below. I hit try again and the it happens again. I know I am using the right file because I can upload via Filezilla but not WordPress. I know that I could just always use Filezilla but it is just inconvenient when twice a week I have to use it to upload a clients theme.

    Thanks for your help.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Yes I have done all of those and still have the problem. And the thing is it isn’t exclusively on one website, It is on all sites that I have worked on.

Are they all on the same server? Or running the same theme?

Not on the same server, but my client is having the same problem I am. Is there anything I could be doing wrong with the theme .zip file?

I am using The7 theme from themeforest.

what the error is? i mean is it does not uploads the file at all or it does not install the theme? may be it’s uploading but could not install theme. is your theme contains just theme file while other files like documentation, child themes are out of zip file or not?

Like there is no uploading at all. I hit browse, grab the correct file, hit open, and then hit upload then it just sits there loading and if it makes any progress past that point it is only to load a page that says “Are you sure you want to do this?” with a try again button below.

There is no uploading, no installing, and no loading of any kind.

    Thanks,
    Elijah
