Can’t use Elementor on Front Page

    Hi, I have just started working on this site for a client and I want to be able to edit the front page with Elementor. When trying to load the edit screen I get an error “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page”.

    Other pages work fine, it’s just the front page. The page is using a default template according to the back-end so not entirely sure what’s happening.

    Any ideas?

    This issue is encountered when you try to edit the homepage with elementor, elementor tries to replace the content of the homepage with its own content. You can read more about this issue here-https://docs.elementor.com/article/56-content-area-not-found

    If you still want to use elementor on the home page then the premium version of the theme has the landing page template that you can use to edit the homepage with elementor.

    I found that article from Elementor and can confirm that items 1,2 and 3 do not apply. It must be item 4 but, as far as I can tell, there is no custom template in use unless it’s in the theme code. Is that the case?

    If I can fix it by adding <?php the_content(); ?> to the theme files then can you please direct me as to where in the files I should be adding this?

    And I can confirm that the page templates have a landing page option so I can use that as an alternative solution.

    I noticed that you are using the premium version of the Vandana Theme. This forum is for the free version of the theme.

    In the premium version, the option to enable elementor in the homepage is available in the Misc Settings within the General Settings in the Customizer.

    Please enable the option, and you will be able to edit the homepage with elementor.
