Can't use Footer Widget

  • Hello all !

    I have a problem ?? I can’t use anymore the widgets for the footer. I had a virus and I succeed to clean the website but since then my footer changed and I can’t use the widgets anymore to put it back on.

    A footer appears but it’s not the one I want and I can”t find anywhere how to remove the one present on the website… I tried to go true my php files but can’t find the source of this footer online right now. I’m sure it’s something stupid but can’t find how to do ! ??

    I want to remove the part that says : Dietetica Gastronomica funciona gracias a WordPress

  • The footer.php would be part of your active theme. You may delete the theme and reload a fresh copy of it and see if that resolves your problem.

    There must be another solution ??

    Its an easy thing to do and you won’t lose any of the settings unless you have edited the theme files themselves. Just delete the active them folder and upload a new copy in its place VIA FTP.
