    si-contact-form 4.0.38

    I have a dual domain setup (bilingual) and use 1 contact form per domain. On the “default” domain it works as expected. But on the “secondary” domain it doesn’t work.

    ERROR :
    “Domain HTTP_REFERER invalid. See FAQ. The name of the domain from where this email is posted doesn’t correspond to the names of the authorised domains in the security tab.”

    I’ve added the domain (and it claims it saved successfully).
    I’ve disabled the “domain protect settings” (and it claims it saved successfully). {I reverted this setting, after the test.}

    Neither brings a solution nor changes the error. In both cases the secondary domain is not mentioned. But yes, disabling throws the same error on the domain not being added (while it shouldn’t be checking it at all).

  • Hi in regards to your comment.

    What do you mean by a dual domain? Can you explain this further please.

    I mean : dutch.net and french.net point to the same wordpress.
    The plugin works fine on dutch.net where wordpress is installed, but refuses to submit a form on french.net even when adding that as “permitted domain” in the security tab (or disabling that function all together – for testing only).

    I’m thinking something goes wrong when the plugin evaluates the “permitted domains”, but i wouldn’t know where to start looking.

    Yes I see your issue. If you had two different WordPress installations with the plugin installed in each version, that would not cause a problem. The reason being is that you would configure each plugin differently.

    Though that would be hell to manage content.
    Seeing that there’s a specific provision, it mustn’t be that uncommon, think multi-site and multi-lingual. My assumption is that for some reason the plugin is not taking into account the settings there ?

    I have submitted an e-mail to the developer to investigate further.

    Any updates from the developer ?
    Clues as to where in the code this gets validated could also be helpful, when i find time to do a little digging myself.

    Thanks.

    I have submitted an email to the developer to investigate your issue.
