I’m trying to add Google Site Kit to the page https://www.theaflanell.se but when we verify the domain it just says “An error occurred: The necessary verification token could not be found on your site. This may be related to your site using a page caching plugin. Please flush your home page cache and then try again.” We’ve cleared the cache but it doesn’t work, we’ve also tried troubleshooting with health and troubleshooting but it doesn’t work even when all extensions are disabled.. what do we do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @silverli, thanks for reaching out. We have seen other users having issues with Search Console verification in the past, with one user having successfully verified their site via DNS?using a domain type property.

If you’re finding that Search Console verification is not proceeding for you with a HTML tag, can you try a manually uploaded HTML file, by following the steps outlined here? Before doing so, feel free to share your Site Health information for your site. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.

Another option is to try and force verification if you’re logged into your browser with the Google account you used to set up Site Kit, is to click on this link and then the “Verify Site Ownership” grey button.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
