• I just started working on a new website and created several pages e.g. home, blog etc. and a private page.

For some odd reason I’m not able to see the private page when viewing the website in a browser. Normally a private page has a pre-fix “private” before the page name and is displayed as part of the menu bar etc..

I’m able to see the private page if I follow the “view page” link in the page editor and the pre-fix “private” is displayed as usual.

If I set visibility to public or protected the site is properly displayed.

I’m logged in as admin, my role is “administrator”, the only registered used so far. I installed the latest version of WP 4.4.1, the theme is “Twenty Twelve” Ver 1.9 (the latest version).

Any ideas why the private page won’t be displayed when looking at the website in a browser? Might a plugin interfere here somehow?

    Thanks

I might deactivate one plugin at the time and see if it makes a difference – this would exclude the plugins being the reason. Otherwise I’m not sure what the reason could be.

PS (I’m not sure where the “Po.st: The Social Sharing Platform that Captures 100% of your sites Social Activity!” line in the post name comes from)

Do you remember if you used any special characters in thread title? The forum may have parsed it incorrectly.
