Cant view or update Product Data

  • When I go to edit a product, I see “general” data under “Product Data”, when I click “inventory” or “shipping”, it seems to ignore the clicks so I can’t view or change that information, same goes for all others in the “Product Data” box, only “general” shows. Also tried to add images to the products gallery, when I click “add product gallery images” the screen jumps to the top but nothing else happens.

    Hi, I had the same issue. And other people too. If you have Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer plugin, turn it off and see if product data works now. Woocommerce must fix this problem.

    Maybe it’s a bug not a feature.. I experienced some product data changes while updating to v.3.0.0. The bad thing is that these changes won’t update properly cause they mess with woocmmerce’s own input field requirements. You can try this:
    Check the “Downloadable” checkbox and make sure that there’s no strange value in the limit field. You can set it to zero and uncheck the checkbox and retry updating product data.

    If it still doesn’t update, have a look at your browser’s developer tool console (https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/)
    Maybe it prints out some errors while trying to update. It can give you a hint, which fields have values that version 3.0.0 can’t bug with.

    Or better, downgrade to old version (hopefully you have an old db backup) and wait for less buggy version ??

    Whilst we can’t go forcing the plugins which have not been updated to select2 v4 to fix this, we’re adding a workaround so the script doesn’t kill the entire page in 3.0.1. Those plugins will still need fixing to use the enhanced selects however.

    @bill247 3.0.1 added a try/catch block in the select2 JS to lessen to error. You may still have problems with the enhanced select boxes until plugins update too, but it should allow you to edit the products and click on tabs again.

    I’m having the same problem. I can update the product description but can’t alter most product data. Strangely, I can edit the price, which is the displayed in the product list, but within the product data it keeps displayed with 0. Furthermore I can’t edit the free trial settings, it’s always 14 days. There’s other data I can edit, but most I can’t. Doesn’t make any sense to me.

    I’m on WordPress 4.8 with WooCommerce and Subscriptions, everything up to date. Deactivating plugins didn’t change anything, switching themes neither.

    Any advice?
