• hi all, thanks in advance for any help.

I run the website: https://www.mood-marketing.co.uk if you go there now it shows an apache problem or something?!

I have recently moved my website from one host to another, keeping the same domain name, i backed up my Data base and my themes and plugins etc. I set up a new vanilla WP install within fantastico as directed fromt eh ‘moving wordpress’ section on here. then i uploaded my themes and plugins, then i restored my database from my back up and now i get this page?! im confused!? I exported the database into the new one the vanilla installation created, so it should work.

i really dont understand what ive done wrong and am driving myself mad! please can someone help!

    thanks

Random! ok, so why cant i? ive cleared my cache and my cookies.

    i see a page saying:

    Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel? and WHM? Server

If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content.
    ATTENTION!

If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved. (Try sending an email to <webmaster@domain>.) Although this site is running cPanel, WebHost Manager, and Apache software it almost certainly has no other connection to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group. Please do not send mail about this site or its contents to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group.
    About cPanel:

cPanel is a leading provider of software for the webhosting industry. If you would like to learn more about cPanel please visit our website at https://www.cpanel.net. Please be advised that cPanel Inc. is not a web hosting company, and as such has no control over content found elsewhere on this site.
    About Apache HTTP Server:

The Apache HTTP Server is an open source web server which powers many of the worlds web sites. The Apache HTTP server is part of the Apache Group’s many influential projects. Their efforts have helped shape much the world wide web, and they continue to be a dominating force in the web hosting industry.

I have recently moved my website from one host to another

so you just recently changed the nameservers? one of us seeing the new site, one of us isnt.

    dns propagation takes time.

chances are, you are seeing the live site.

tack index.php onto your domain name and see if the blog pops up. does it?

Nope, still see that apache page – if my mate goes to the login lapge https://www.mood-marketing.co.uk/wp-admin it tells him:

    Database Upgrade Required
Your WordPress database is out-of-date, and must be upgraded before you can continue.

how do i upgrade it without being able to log in?

    Hey Jen,

If your new host is hostpapa, then it’s working fine from ATL! I see the whole site etc.

If the host is not hostpapa, (they’re the old host), then the nameserver information wasn’t changed on your registrar account…

If you see the ‘upgrade’ button, go ahead and click on it…no need to login…

    (@jenster81)

i moved from one hostpapa account to another hostpapa account (split up with the ex!)

    so that will confuse things!

i still cannie log in ??

Hmmm, that’s a good one. We never liked him anyway. You’re too good for him.

Do you still have access to the old account? If you do, you could put in an index.html file with
<html><body>Move along. There's nothing to see here...</body></html> in the domain root.

The html file will have higher priority than the index.php file that wp uses, so you’re effectively shutting off the old WP.com install.

We see the html file displayed then we know it’s DNS drama. Your host may have to get involved to rebind the DNS entries for your domain to the new account…

    LOL – You’re a bit lovely… ??

thanks for that, although it seems to now be working!? totally random, very confused!
