Canvas html sitemap — add page heading category?

Using Woothemes Canvas 5.2.4 with Woocommerce and started using the html sitemap template. I like it except I would like to add a few headers to make my pages listing more understandable, instead of a big listing. (The categories and products listing work well.) Only way I could figure to do this was to add a couple of ‘blank’ header pages. Problem now is I don’t want to have these blank headers as clickable links.
Am I going about this the right way? Any simple way of achieving this?
