Capabilities issues and WP media

  • Really nice plugin.

    I am trying to use it in a ACF PRO front end form, so Subscribers can crop their photos.
    After I’ve added the ‘upload_files’ capability to the Subscriber role I found out that doing so the users have access to the WP media, instead of being able to upload just from the computer.

    Any suggestions?

    Hey Troglos,

    I don’t use ACF forms and I have not tested the compatibility of this plugin with this feature.

    ACF forms support would require additional testing and code to implement so I classify this as an enhancement that may be implemented in a future version.

    Right now it seems that access to the media gallery is needed in order to frontend crop to work.

    I’ll add a note to FAQ about this.
