I’ve set up a new profile and assigned it to a user but when they log in they can’t access the wordpress back end. If they go to wp-admin page it just says they don’t have the necessary permissions. They have most of the capabilities ticked in the checkboxes apart from user/roles capabilities but apart from that they’re not far off the administrator role.

    Hope someone can help.

If you have the “read” capability enabled, they should at least be able to see the dashboard. It could be because some other plugin interfering with your capability settings. Try disabling all the plugins and see whether it fixes the issue.

    Sorry for the delayed response.
