Capabilities Pending Status

    Hello,
    first of all, thank you for the great plugin.
    I recently clicked on the reset button, by mistake, I thought it will reset only selected role, but it deleted all custom roles ??
    Then I created custom roles again, with the same names, and looks like it works fine – all user got their roles back.
    But I got another issue. Now all new users after registration have capabilities status pending, even after email confirmation during registration.

    And only if admin manually unchecks the checkbox “pending” users can logon to a website.

    Please help, I was trying to find out how to figure out this issue but did not find any information.

    Hi,

    By default WordPress uses ‘pending’ as a post status between ‘draft’ and ‘publish’.

    ‘Reset’ not only deletes custom roles. It roll back default roles to the initial state. It seems some role, like ‘subscriber’ would lost a custom capability added by plugin, responsible for user registration process.

    You need to consult with developer of the plugin, which adds user capability ‘pending’ and checks it after user login. Or try to deactivate/activate back that plugin. Some plugins updates roles again during activation.
