Capable, simple, cost-effective
-
Update: I’m now using this tool on all my sites and continue to find it fault-free. I can reassure not just myself, but my customers that all is well and, I know immediately if the site goes down briefly (usually my fault one way or the other….!!).
I can’t fault this tool. It’s list of SPAM IP addresses picks up stuff others in this price range don’t. If you run a blog with comments and/or have a contact form(s), life is just calmer with this type of protection.
I also use WordPress’ own plugin – you can look it up easily. That’s fine too as well as also being cost-effective (you get to choose how cost-effective). But, in one month with one URL, CleanTalk has picked up 6 additional genuine SPAM.
With this sort of protection, there’s no way of knowing how damaging the SPAM that’s blocked (and to which you are alerted) might have been, obviously. So, I can’t relate here what that may have saved my site from.
But that’s no reason not to invest a small proportion of the cost of even the smallest cheaply hosted sight in CleanTalk.
