Hello,

Pretty much what’s in the title. It doesn’t seem to be duplicate reporting or anything like that because I sometimes get 0 real ATC events and 350 fake ATC events within one hour.

Track events automatically without code is turned off.

As far as I can see, nothing irregular happens when I run a test through the event manager. One event comes through browser, another through server, deduplication happens. Pretty normal looking stuff. Meta pixel helper also reports nothing irregular.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

A few possible causes:
1. Bots crawling the site. We have an option to disable the tags for bots: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvz1LX6f_Cs
2. Change the way ATC get fired: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZoAu8a0PNg
3. Or it might be a bug with the pixel itself. We are aware of this issue explained here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/redundant-meta-pixel-events-strange-events-fired-by-the-pixel/

So turns out it was bots and they’re all coming from this site https://mj12bot.com/

Thought I should let you know since they are not in your filter and I can’t be the only one for whom they are being a major headache. Their bots are ignoring nofollow and are spamming my site with atc events like crazy.

Did you manage to block them with “Disable the plugin for these IP addresses:” functionality?

I can’t say for sure as it has only been a few hours but so far the IPs I ignored through “Disable the plugin for these IP addresses:” have not come back.

I just have to keep going back every few hours and block the new IPs that show up
