Capitalizing Tags in Meta Titles

    I would like to universally use title case for all my meta titles–especially for archive pages of tags and categories–so that the search results on Google have capitalized titles.

    Is there a way to modify the titles and metas template variables so that the SEO titles for tags such as %%term_title%% are rendered in title case?

    If you go to a page like: https://humoresquecartoons.com/cartoons/tag/faiths/ on the backend of your site, are you able to adjust the title name to be upper case? If so, does the right capitalization then appear?

    Yes, I was able to change the individual tag to capitalize it using the method you described, and that seems to work well.

    I was hoping, though, that there would be a way to do this universally with a line of code or some change in the Yoast plugin (or the site’s code) so all the tags could be changed in bulk and by default. In my case, I have almost 5,000 tags, so it would be great to not have to change each one manually. Any thoughts on if this is possible?

    We are not sure if there is or is not a way. We do know no such feature exists in the Yoast plugin. We suggest the following actions:

    A. Contact your theme developer, as the title fields in the backend for Tag pages are controlled by the theme.

    B. We suggest looking in the WordPress Plugin Repository: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/?for a plugin that can best match you needs.e
