1. PROPER Contact is built with a “honeypot” CAPTCHA, invisible to the user. This should handle most of your spam issues. I haven’t seen a regular CAPTCHA perform much better. Are you getting spam through your form?

No problems right now. Just saw your plug-in and was curious. I would be interested in changing over if you were to incorporate custom user fields.

Hi 4CF have you checked out FunCaptcha. It’s really easy to install and its a user friendly and secure CAPTCHA that requires no typing. https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/funcaptcha/

I was going to actually ask this CAPTCHA question initially, but saw someone already did. We have been using this contact form for months now and we really LOVE it — the form fits nicely in our sidebar, the overall form is very pleasing to the eye compared to others, and it gives us specifics about the inquiries (page, location, etc.) where other forms make you pay for that. All in all, it’s great!

However, we’ve noticed within the past month or so that we’ve been getting spam up to 5-10+ times a day through our contact form. This has never happened before, until now. Any plans to update the contact form to address these issues somehow or maybe adding actual CAPTCHA?
