captcha broken on fast secure contact form

That is caused by a PHP Session error.

I can direct you to a help page for troubleshooting that, or you can install the 4.0 beta version that does not require PHP Sessions anymore

You have to install the 4.0 Beta 2 to have those changes. I will no longer update the 3.xx version, it is too much work to maintain two different programs.

I am using the beta on my live site now with no trouble.

I have the same problem, the captcha image is working on most sites but one site https://www.adimage.net.au/contact-us/ it’s not working. I donated $5 to the premium support (61T1805502360594A) weeks ago with the intention of donating more once I’d received a satisfactory answer. But I’ve received no answer. I’m currently running without any captcha just to get messages
I’ve downloaded your 4.0 Beta version twice and on each occasion the installation has failed, message is no valid plug-in found or words to that effect.

Look on the Admin – Plugins – menu.
Temporarily Disable (not uninstall) all your other plugins.
Did the problem you were having go away? If yes, Activate each of the plugins, one by one, to determine which one conflicts. Test if the problem goes away after activating each plugin one at a time. This way you can determine which plugin was causing the problem. Once you determine a plugin is conflicting, check the plugin version to be sure it is compatible with your version of WP. Sometimes plugins are no longer updated, then new WP versions come out and the plugin will generate errors or no longer function as intended. Report any problems you find to the plugin author.

Deactivated all plugins, still NO captcha images. Changed theme to twentyten still NO captcha images. “Use PHP Sessions” is unchecked.
Not likely to be a server issue as three other sites on the same server have no problem, captcha image appear OK.

no image display could be something in your htaccess file blocking the plugins directory. You would have to adjust that or whitelist my plugin folder.

Or it could be a server error, something that should be recorded in the server logs.

I looked and I don’t think it is a htaccess problem.

It might be that your WordPress site settings have a mismatched www
Check the WP settings in Admin – Settings – General
WordPress address (URL)
Blog address (URL)

You have to make sure the domain name and www match:
either use www. for BOTH, or do NOT use www. for both

That did it. I matched up my URLs both www. captcha now working.
