Captcha no longer displaying since 1.23 update

Is it the standard wp-login.php page or something custom?

I use WooCommerce with the Flatsome theme.

This is happening on the customers “My Account” login page. I haven’t changed the login page myself, but I suppose this might be a different page from the standard wp-login.php?

It was working before the update and nothing else has been changed.

Adding to this, it works correctly if I downgrade to 1.22.

We tested it on the WooCommerce My Account page and saw no issues ??
Which captcha method are you using? Can you post a link to that page?

Same issue with Google reCaptcha V2 and V3. I’d prefer to use V3.

Not sure if it’s related but I can’t use Built-In Math Captcha because the image on the Verify dialog is a broken link (403 error on lib/captcha.php). This is the same on both v1.22 and v1.23.

Everything else seems to work as it should.

That’s odd… we don’t print that link anywhere ?? It should load that script though … so something is turning it into an anchor for some reason. What theme are you using?

I use Flatsome.

I understand it can be annoying since it worked in version 1.22 but we had to change some things to print the captcha code in a better way so that it can support wp_login_form() as well ??

It has to be another plugin then … can you try temporarily disabling other plugins (except WooCommerce and reCAPTCHA) to check?

For whatever reason a moderator deleted useful information from this thread… (yet I can’t get my URL removed from the post above)

I haven’t been able to confirm this yet on my installation, but another member chimed in (in a now deleted post) that disabling the Jetpack plugin fixed the issue.

I have tested with Jetpack and it seems that the issue comes up when Jetpack Settings -> Writing -> Composing -> Compose using shortcodes to embed media from popular sites is enabled. Could you test with that disabled and 1.23 to confim?

reCaptcha is working with that setting disabled.
