Captcha Not Appearing

  • I’ve been using captcha for years without issue, and after the last update, it no longer visually appears on the comment page, but comments are rejected for failure to do the math. I’ve de- and reactivated a few times, tried to change and save settings, without it fixing the problem. I also got the rename custom page warning, but it offered no information (as you already know). I’ve deactivated it for now.

    Thanks for making us aware were working on the rename custom warning as i write this.

    The other issue is a first so can you let me know abit about what your running? wp version etc.

    Also, I just linked a random page. The captcha isn’t appearing on any page at the comment box, but it is rejecting comments nonetheless for failure to answer the math question.

    What is your theme name?
    are you using default WordPress comment form or custom comment form?

    Using a child theme (named Simple Justice theme) based on twenty twelve with default comment form.

    If you are using custom comment form so, please read FAQ https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/captcha/ about Why is the CAPTCHA missing in the comments form?

    I’m not a dev. It was all working fine, and now it’s not. I don’t plan to hire a dev to fix things because you did an update that made a working plugin fail. If that’s what your answer is, then your captcha is worthless to me.

    And as I already wrote, I’m not using a customer comment form. This is more work than your captcha is worth. If you want people to use it, then it’s your job to make it work, as it did for years.

    Just reactivated, and captcha still not appearing. Deactivated again.

    I still cant replicate this issue you have one real option you can supply me with FTP (dont add it in public view) and i will go in and change the commands for you other than that with out me going into you site directly its going to be very difficult to find the error.

    I have a better idea. Roll back your update that caused all these problems rather than making your update my problem.

    I suggest another plugin would be a good idea for you.

    It’s an isolated issue I’m here trying to fix and you clearly don’t appreciate it. A bit of respect for people spending their time doing things for free goes a long way.

    I agree, a working captcha plugin would be a far better idea for me. You have a good day too.

    I actually have the exact same issue. The plugin was working great for a long time, and the captcha no longer appears since the last update. I use it for the BWS contact form.

    Could you help fixing this bug? This isn’t an isolated problem.
