  • Hello,

Tested on Ipad Air and it is not displayed. Thanks!

Here are some extra details about the issue:

Tested the captcha on two iPhone 6 devices and one iPhone 4 device.

    gt

Top picture is from iPhone4 and it shows the captcha correctly.
Bottom picture is from iPhone 6 and it doesn’t show captcha at all.

Also tested different browsers on the iPhone 6 devices.

The default browser (Safari) has the captcha issue. Surprisingly, I installed the Adblock browser and there the captcha shows. But since most of the people use Safari on their phone, I still would like to fix this somehow.

Waiting for some suggestions and I appreciate the time you guys spend in helping me out.

    Hi greentumble,
Thank you for letting us know about this issue. But I think this is a phone specific issue. Maybe both iPhone6 have some app installed. Because it works fine on our iPhone6 Safari browser. We’ll keep testing this on other iPhones too…

You answered over the weekend. That is some dedication to the plugin that you don’t find often. You won my ‘Thank you’ (Help wpDiscuz to grow allowing people to recognize which comment plugin you use)

Hopefully I will be able to make a donation too in the future.

I tried removing all cache from both iPhone 6 devices and tried again, still doesn’t show captcha in Safari.

Hopefully you guys can find the bug and fix it at some point.

    Regards

    Thank you very much greentumble,
Sure, this issue is important for us. We’re making super responsive the next major wpDiscuz (3.0) release and this kind of problems should be detected and fixed as well.

Maybe you should just drop the current captcha since it’s useless anyway (i’m getting spam all over the place with it). It would probably be best to just integrate ReCaptcha.

I tested my site (still in development) on the iPhone 6 using mobile Safari. I can see the captcha, though after I click on “Join the Conversation” the screen requires horizontal scrolling, a little. But I’m guessing that is being addressed in the next update.

Not sure why you can’t see the captcha, sounds like a CSS problem, to me. Something in your site’s CSS is hiding that area below a certain screen width. Have you tested using a desktop browser in responsive design mode?

Yes I tested different desktop browsers in responsive mode and it always shows the captcha there…but on the phone not.

Yes, maybe it’s from my theme’s css…I don’t really know…not an expert in this. Hopefully the guys will fix this issue at the next update.

Just to give you a short feedback on the last update. Good work! The captcha problem disappeared. Now it shows even on the iPhone, desktop, everywhere. Thanks for the support!
