I think I found it, but the number box is still visible on photos without description.

I’m trying Flickr because I wanted to see if the blurriness was less here then with Google Photos on our previous subject.

But it is actually more worse… now even horizontally… (2 columns)
Accept, when I change the outcome of 3 columns.
I don’t understand, because the original photos I have uploaded to Flickr and Google Photos are 1020 x 640 pixels…?

    Can you help please?

Your current setting is, “Use the photo description / caption. If blank use the title”. That “number” is coming from the title of your photo.

When you use the “square” layout, there are two sizes that Photonic uses:

    1. Thumb size – this is shown on your main phage. It doesn’t matter what size photo you have uploaded. If you are using a small thumb size and are trying to show only 2 columns, you will see blurriness. In your 2-column layout you have set a thumbnail size of “m”, or “Small, 240px on longest side”. So even if your original is 1020px wide, you are pulling a 240px wide photo and trying to display 2 such photos in one row. That will not give you good results.
    2. Main size – this is shown in the lightbox. You should set this to “Original” to get the best size in the lightbox.

Note that the “square” layout is fine if you want to show small, square thumbnails. But if you want nice, big thumbnails, you should go for a different layout.
