Caption over header dissappeared

    Hi –

    I’ve been using Kale Theme for a few months now and I am very happy with it. Thank you!!

    Yesterday I noticed that my header image no longer fit the page. I added the Kirki Toolkit plugin and found on another thread from a couple of weeks ago an addition to the CSS code that fixed the image problem.

    But my caption (I guess caption heading and caption description) has vanished. I still see them under customizing – header image, but they do not appear on the site.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for contacting us and for using our theme. We appreciate it.

    Could you please go to Customize -> Front page -> Banner / Slider and check whether the Hide Captions, Link Images? option is turned on?

    I’m pretty sure that it is.

    Just turn it off and caption should reappear.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I’m not sure how it got turned on. It must have happened at the same time that the image changed and no longer fit.

    It was on probably for quite some time. You use the banner on the homepage instead of the slider, and in the previous version of the theme, that option didn’t affect the banner image, just slider. Then several people wanted that option for the banner too, and it was introduced in the version 2.2.

    So there you go, one people’s feature is the other people’s bug. ??

    One way or around, it is settled now.
