[caption] shortcodecode displaying in post

Have an issue with the [caption] shortcode displaying when I view or preview the post. In the visual editor the caption appears where it should and all is well.
Disabling the Ninja pages plugin seems to remedy the issue. Am unsure if this behaviour was existing prior to the 3.5 upgrade.https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/ninja-page-categories-and-tags/
