Captions in Gutenberg

  • Is anyone else still having a problem with image captions in Gutenberg? When we try to put them in, if they’re longer than about three words, the words are squished on top of each other so you can’t read them.

    Thanks for any feedback that anyone can offer.

  • The core styles for gallery are not optimal. You can choose a theme that styles the galleries differently (or do it yourself), or use a gallery shortcode to get the Classic gallery (either a shortcode block or a Classic block). Or separate image blocks.
